In March 2012 Canon published a list of the countries where the Speedlite 600EX-RT and ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter can be used. It is all about where you can use devices using 2.4 GHz ISM bands.

Who is going to track my signal down and destroy my transmitter? lol
I think these laws are quite unenforceable.
