(CW1) Canon Working on a f/1.2 Lens for the EOS M System? Update: it’s the EF 50mm f/1.2, possibly

Update: thanks to reader “lw” we learn that most probably the EF 50mm f/1.2L was used with the EF-EF-M adapter. The couple in the video above have a blog were they write about the video:

[…] we’ve tried the 50mm f/1.2 lens on the EOS M3 camera while filming and we were so impressed with the results; super crisp quality with a beautiful and dreamy depth of field.

I downgrade the rumor to CW2 CW1.

In one of the promotional videos posted yesterday there is an interesting little fact. Start the video above and jump to mark 2:20. You’ll see a “f/1.2” settings on the EOS M3’s display (announcement). So, either they were shooting using the EF-EF-M adapter (no mention in the video, and you can’t spot the adapter), or Canon has a fast and probably prime lens for the EOS M in the works.

We had some rumors in the past about possible prime lenses coming for the EOS M system. What do you think?
