9 months ago |canon will NOT make another FF sensor.. it will be the 5D MK3 sensor.
jake
9 months ago |this info is correct , I am sure Canon will not re-use the 5D3 sensor into cheap plastic bodies so soon.
Nick M
9 months ago |and the AF is redicilous low spec.. this is an very bad spec list…. i doubt it is true.. one cross sensor.. come on? who believes that?
Jordi
9 months ago |If this specs are true, the AF system, the max shutter speed and the flash sync are a little bit disappointing, especially the AF system.
Nick M
9 months ago |a littel bit..?? these specs are 100% crap compared to the D600.
but no way the specs are correct.. wifi and GPS build in? no WAY!!!
canon will sell it´s wifi and gps stuff… they will not build this into the camera.

9 months ago |180/s flash sync….. LOL…
with those specs im happy to jump to nikon…. this is a joke i hope!!!

9 months ago |This camera is all about the FF sensor, period. If you don’t want the FF sensor, stop crying about A/F and flash sync and buy something else. Case closed.

9 months ago |So ask your Mom buy the damn D600 and shut up already, ya crying little bitch.
jake
9 months ago |actually many people here knew it but we could not talk about it but it would be a bit cheaper than the D600.
for me though, the most important feature is its light weight yet fully selaed body.
but the d600, the6D are both cheap built bodies but hey, what do you expect from a company like Canon or Nikon, they are so conservative and unwilling to change anything.
I think I will get the Sony A99v with Pana GH3 if I have to pick something from these photokina announcements.

9 months ago |you know nothing….. you only talk BS
jake
9 months ago |that said DSLR tech is already matured and there is no really significant revolution or even proper evolution in this business untill new type of sensor tech is developed.
so , I guess I will stick with my 5D2 and D800 as long as I can and spend more money on my NEX or MFT system instead.

9 months ago |6D so much sucks compared to D600 – if they want to sell it the price should be not more than $1800.
Ahmed
9 months ago |i think for now i am going to stick to my 7D and D300s simply cause the new stuff isn’t very exciting, one person who owns d800 told me that extra megapixel almost make it harder with it being less forgiving and file size being too big.It seems to me that photography industry is following Apple’s upgrade model where they release new stuff every year and your camera becomes obsolete over night.
There is no need for built in GPS maybe wifi can be justified, instead give us better image processing and newer sensor. Digic5+ or Exceed 3 who gives a shit.

9 months ago |I do have D800 and although D600 is everything I wanted I won’t step back now.
But while D600 is almost identical to D800 with few differences, 6D is very “limited” compared to 5DMIII, which is excellent camera.
I just don’t see why one would spend $2500 (as rumored) for 6D, as both D600 and A99 are better, or for $700 more you can get the wonderful 5DMIII.

9 months ago |How does your camera become obsolete? No support? It stops taking pictures?
I’m not following.
FMJ
9 months ago |body as big as APSC body, which one? Rebel? or 7D?
if they sell a rebel size FF for that price with those spec, namely 1/180, only 1 cross type AF, then this is going to be a failure, might as well keep selling the 5d2?
Tess
9 months ago |I give out anything, remember the a99 specs, which were almost all wrong…!
Tess
9 months ago |tiltable screen?
Built in Flash?
Full HD fps?
Buffer?
Neil
9 months ago |sorry as a newbie – why is a flash sync of 1/180 a problem? i know its normally 1/200 or 1/250 does it make that much difference?
Nick M
9 months ago |no prob.. most experts here have no clue either.. they are just kids.
here better then i can explain it with my english:

9 months ago |Ok that makes a lot of sense. thanks for the link.
Alex
9 months ago |Hope these are the wrong specs, cause for the price, this camera sucks. At 1500? Definetly a good choice. But for more than 2000$ it’s a ridiculous proposition especially with the d600 as a competitor.

9 months ago |oh god….. SD card and no CF card….

9 months ago |HOW CAN CANON THINK TO COMPETE WITH THIS AGAINST THE D600??
1300 euro for body only?
DomDeeDom
9 months ago |While neither the D600 or 6D are going to be built with a high enough spec list to really dig into their larger, more expensive counterparts, this spec list is a slap in the face.
If the 6D does in fact come in with a single X type AF point, this will be ridiculous.
Studio, yada yada, portrait, yada yada, landscape, yada yada… When the effing Rebel has 9 cross type AF points, and every single ‘new’ DSLR out right now has more cross type AF points, Canon insulting it’s customer base by putting a slightly different version (again perceived based on this rumored spec list) of the sub-par, 7 year old, original 5D/5DII AF system, which is the largest gripe for 5D/5DII users looking to upgrade, would be enough for me to save my money, regardless of any other spec based purely on principle.
I’ll save my venom until this is officially announced, but c’mon Canon, show up because you’re getting your ass handed to you.

9 months ago |now they have badly faked images of a “6D” on that website…. all nonsense!!
Rafael
9 months ago |No doubt this is the little brother in the FF arena and more so if price is $1999. It is for those who want full frame but will sacrifice specs at a good price.
I will stick with the 7D which is the big brother in the small sensors, but specs are much better: 8fps, 19 AF points, 63 zones, electronic leveling, speedlite transmitter, GPS with new firmware, dual digicam. enough for me.

9 months ago |Very disappointing if this is the true spec. Better tech in the t4i. I shoot a 7D and want to move to a FF next camera. But if this is the spec, I’d rather jump to the 5DIII. Also I would be surprised that they wouldn’t start incorporating the hybrid AF system into their consumer models.
Sahaja
9 months ago |These “specs” seem perfectly designed to make people jump from Canon to Nikon (or even Sony) – especially if they are just switching from a crop sensor to full frame.
Are you sure this leak is not disinformation from Nikon’s marketing?
