Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM: [shopcountry 14551]
Photography Bay reviewed the awesome [shoplink 8892]Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM[/shoplink] lens for APS-C DSLRs, one of Sigma’s recent gems. This lens gets one positive review after the other, and that’s not surprising: Sigma made an outstanding lens, and it has a constant f/1.8 over the zoom range. Considering the price of the Sigma ($799) this is for sure one of the most interesting lenses you can get for your Canon APS-C DSLR.

Some excerpts:
The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM lens is truly a revolutionary lens. Sigma has achieved something no other manufacture has achieved to date.
The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 lens becomes more like a bag of prime lenses than a do-it-all zoom lens
The thing about the Sigma f/1.8 is that the image quality backs up the bag-o-primes analogy.
A f/1.8 aperture zoom at this price cannot be ignored
There is a set of sample pics shot at different apertures and focal lengths. Below you see two of the sample pics (used with permission). Be also sure to read DxOMark’s findings about the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8: the Sigma beats them all, Zeiss and Canon L lenses included.
