(CW1) Canon having Problems with Glass Supply?

Canon Rumor

Northlight Images reports a rumor suggesting that Canon’s…

glass supplies (more exotic types) are limiting the introduction of a whole load of new top end lenses. Canon has new manufacturing capacity, but optical glass making still takes a lot of time and is not just something you can just quickly ramp up

Sounds unreliable to me, and never I got any suggestion pointing in this direction. For me it’s CW1.

Yet Another YongNuo 50mm f/1.8 vs Canon 50mm f/1.8 II Comparison (DigitalRev)

DigitalRev Kai’s turn to compare the [shoplink 173]Canon 50mm f/1.8 II[/shoplink] (aka Nifty-Fifty) to the YongNuo 50mm f/1.8, a Nifty-Fifty “replica” we reported about.

How do these inexpensive lenses compare? Find out watching the video.

The Yongnuo is available on Amazon and eBay, and since recently also B&H Photo has Yongnuo products in catalog, they also have the Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 listed. Unfortunately in the meantime, with all the press, the Yongnuo has the same price as the Canon 50mm f/1.8.
