Canon Ambassador Ziv Koren Takes a New Angle on the Holy Fire

By Canon Ambassador Ziv Koren on Canon Pro Network:

When I first got the Canon [shoplink 250]EF 8-15mm[/shoplink]zoom lens I thought it was an interesting gimmicky ‘toy’ that could make an amazing image in the right location, but it took me about a year to take it out for the first time for something that I thought would be perfect for this super, ultra-crazy wide angle lens.

Due to the interesting round shape of the church and the tomb in the middle I thought that this ceremony would be just right for the 8-15mm lens, which could give me a very different perspective than anything else I’d ever seen from this location. EOS 70D Sample Shots

dc.watch.impress (translated) posted a set of samples shot with the [shoplink 14246]Canon EOS 70D[/shoplink] and various lenses, among them the awesome Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM [shoplink 14551](price & specs)[/shoplink]. The other lenses are the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 [shoplink 329](price & specs)[/shoplink], the EF 8-15mm f4L Fisheye [shoplink 250](price & specs)[/shoplink], and the EF 70-200 f/4L IS [shoplink 168](price & specs)[/shoplink]. I was particularly curious to see the performance of the Sigma 18-35mm with the 70D – not bad at all! :)
