Samyang introduces new “Premium” line with 85mm f/1.2 and 14mm f/2.4 lenses

Samyang announced a new “Premium” lens line-up with two full-frame lenses. A 85mm f/1.2 and 14mm f/2.4 lens are the first two lenses of the new “Premium” line.

Both are manual focus lenses but have electronic aperture control. Samyang said these lenses can outresolve 50MP sensors and are fit for 8K resolution. The 85mm f/1.2 lens will be available for Canon EF mount only, the 14mm f/2.4 lens will be available for other mounts too.

Samyang announce 35mm F1.2 ED AS UMC CS lens for mirrorless systems

Samyang (Rokinon, Bowers etc) announced a new, super fast lens, the Samyang 35mm F1.2 ED AS UMC CS. The Samyang 35mm F1.2 is a lens for mirrorless camera systems, hence it will come with a mount for Canon’s EOS M system (and for Fuji X , Sony E and MFT mounts).

Samyang going to announce 5 new lenses in the next 5 weeks

Samyang (aka Rokinon) just posted a teaser on their Facebook page, saying:

In this Summer, the five Samyang Blockbuster series will blow your mind away!

5 NEW Samyang Lenses will be released on every Monday for the next five weeks.

So far no idea what kind of lenses they are going to announce. However, it’s a pretty safe bet that they will come with Canon mount (among others). Stay tuned.
