A fresh new Canon rumor from a relentless rumor mill. Is a PowerShot V3 coming?…
Are These The Canon PowerShot V1 Specifications?
A set of alleged specifications for the rumored Canon PowerShot V1 surfaced on the web.
The Canon PowerShot V1 has been getting a lot of attention recently, and new details are emerging. Unlike typical launches, Canon Japan is said to first announce the PowerShot V1 as a development announcement before CP+, with a full reveal expected later in March. This approach seems like a new strategy for Canon, though some details may have been lost in translation.
The PowerShot V1 is expected to launch at $899 USD, a reasonable price considering the camera’s larger sensor size for a compact model. Canon will also offer a range of accessories for the PowerShot V1, although specifics are not yet available. There may be a “creator” bundle introduced as well.
The PowerShot G7 X Mark III and PowerShot SX70 HS are set to be discontinued in the first half of 2025, so the PowerShot V1 should hit the market in March or April this year. Additionally, Canon might unveil a few “concept” PowerShot cameras at CP+.
