Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 and EF 50mm f/2.5 compact macro listed as “production ended” at Canon UK

Both the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 and the EF 50mm f/2.5 compact macro lenses are listed with a “production ended” tag at Canon UK.

Both lenses have not yet been officially discontinued by Canon. However, the EF 50m f/1.4 is rumored to get replaced, and there is a pertinent patent for a possible EF 50mm f/1.4 II. The Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM was released back in 1993. A replacement could be on its way. The EF 50mm f/2.5 compact macro is a niche lens, I wonder what is going to replace it, and if Canon is going to replace it.
