    Are we sure this is an EF? would be an amazing lens but makes make more sense as an EF-S, as they already sell a 15-85.

    Just looked at the patent, and it seems to show both a EF 24-105 STM and EF-S 15-105 STM, guess we’ve already seen the 24-105 STM

    As long as it doesn’t cost over $1,000 like the new Nikon variant, I might consider it. It would also be nice if they put the zoom and focus rings back where they are supposed to be.

    I’d bet EF-S as a FF mount starting at 15mm f/2.8 doesn’t make the cut to me. It was mentioned somewhere that the EF-S 15-85 was to be updated. This new focal range and aperture would really mean it.

    That would be an extremely useful kit lens. All these 18m+ are pathetic, especially on Canon’s not-quite-APS-C.
