As usual after a Canon announcement, the interweb of speculations is running hot about what…
Being owned by a commercial entity appears to do well to a well known source of Canon rumors. Here is another one in a row of recent rumors.
Rumor has it that the Canon might announced a new lens along with the rumored Canon EOS R50, the Canon RF-S 22mm f/2 STM.
The optical design of the Canon RF-S 22mm f/2 STM is said to be almost the same as the Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM. Indeed, this might be a port from the EF-M mount to the RF mount. No specifications leaked so far but if the optical design is similar to the EF-M 22mm, then these might (more or less) apply:
- Moderate Wide-Angle Lens
- Bright f/2 Lens Aperture
- Exceptional Low-Light Performance
- One Aspheric Lens Element
- Built-In Stepping Motor
- Smooth & Continuous AF
- Seven Blade Circular Aperture
- Short Minimum Focusing Distance of 5.9″
Stay tuned for more.
