Egami (translated) spotted Canon patents for three lenses that could been thought for the EOS M mirrorless system, a 5omm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4. Egami’s analysis of the patents suggests this interpretation, i.e. that these lenses are made for an APS-C mirrorless system. Sound exciting, having such primes for the EOS M would at least allow us to think that Canon is committed to their mirrorless system. More details and specs after the break.

Egami (translated) spotted a patent filed by Canon that’s related to a 35mm f/1.4 lens that appears to refer to the successor of the Canon EF 35mm f 1.4L USM (price & specs) lens (released in 1998).
