Dustin Abbott posted a short video on YouTube that shows the differences in focus quality and sound between the new Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and the [shoplink 173]EF 50mm f/1.8 II[/shoplink], both lenses used on a camera in video servo mode. Well, big differences. Congrats Canon for having made another excellent and inexpensive lens.

The Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R start official shipping tomorrow. However, it’s an open secret that some customers have already got theirs. No name of the shops that are already shipping since it could be that Canon has a sale embargo until June 14.

Photography Blog posted another gallery of sample pictures shot with a Canon EOS 5DS. This time they used the Canon [shoplink 168]EF 70-200 f/4L IS[/shoplink] lens. The pics were taken at a local bike race, at 8pm with overcast sky, having poor light conditions. High ISO settings were required.
