Canon Professional Network published an article about the custom functions available on Canon DSLRs.
Most EOS digital cameras offer Custom Functions. These allow you to alter the way the camera operates to suit your own personal needs. Exposure, focusing and flash are just some of the areas covered by the functions. Each function has a factory-defined default setting, plus one or more alternative settings.
Custom Functions are set through the camera menu system. Find and select ‘Custom Functions’ and you will bring up a screen with each Custom Function number displayed. Select the appropriate number and you will be taken to a screen where you can select from the various options for that custom function.

Canon Rumors got word that Canon may announce new tilt-shift lenses for Photokina 2014.
Both the Canon TS-E 90mm f/2.8 and TS-E 45mm f/2.8 are murmured to get replaced. And the possibility of a third tilt-shift lens (no hints here) is also in the air. The 90mm and 45mm are pretty old lenses, a replacement is not implausible. The lenses should be announced for Photokina 2014.
Some more speculation are going on about a Canon macro tilt-shift lens.
[via CR]Have you ever thought about shooting portraits with a tilt-shift lens? Sounds weird to you? Then check the article at Photofocus to see the creative possibilities that come with a tilt-shift lens. In the article the Canon TS-E 45mm f/2.8 lens is discussed. From the incipit:
[via Photofocus]If you aren’t familiar with a Tilt-Shift lens, then you’re probably got a somewhat confused face going on as you read this. It is a special lens, mainly used for architectural photography, due to its ability to help correct perspective distortion and increase depth of field with the tilting action of the lens. Essentially the lens has a very precise bend in the middle that can be dialed in and angled.
But, one can use this tilting action to get just a nice slice or sliver of focus. These types of lenses create this specific kind of blur that is now highly mimicked in post processing applications and are now being integrated in many point and shoot cameras. Being a little bit of a bokeh and blur lover, I naturally thought that shooting portraits with this would be a rad experience!
