A new rumor about the recently leaked Canon EOS R6 Mark II surfaced.

The source of the rumor suggests the Canon EOS R6 Mark II might be announced along with the very long rumored Canon RF 135mm f/1.8L IS lens. The latter is really rumored since a long time (first in 2019).

The EOS R6 Mark II already has a rumored specifications list, that is.

  • 24mp Full-frame CMOS Sensor
  • Dual Pixel RAW / RAW burst
  • Dual Pixel CMOS AF
  • In-body stabilization
  • Digital Tele-Converter
  • 12fps Mechanical
  • Hybrid Auto
  • 4K 30p (no crop)
  • 4K 60p (cropped)
  • Canon Log 3/HDR PQ
  • Cloud RAW processing
  • RF/RF-S Lenses
  • SD/SDHC dual card slot
  • similar form factor as the EOS R6

We are rather confident about the EOS R6 Mark II, and less about the RF 135mm f/1.8. Time will tell.

A new rumor surfaced from the interweb of more or less silent murmurings. The Canon EOS R6 Mark II might come soon.

The prototype of the EOS R6 Mark II is already in testing, and it shares something with EOS R3: a STACKED sensor.

That’s not that unreal. It wouldn’t be the first time Canon introduces a new technology on a flag ship camera, and later on brings it to more affordable gear. The Canon EOS R6 is more than two years old, and might be in Canon’s update radar. If it gets the stacked sensor of the EOS R3 it would be a smart move by Canon.
