I have been told (thanks) that the high-megapixel camera Canon confirmed in an interview will come as the replacement for the Canon [shoplink 4119]EOS-1D X[/shoplink].

Recent speculations surfaced that Canon might go beyond the 50MP mark and deliver a 52MP sensor.
