Canon & mirrorless

Canon could realize a mirrorless camera, said Masaya Maeda, a senior company executive, in an interview with Reuters.
Canon has restored the production and overcome the problems of the earthquake.
The new investment in Taiwan will increase the production of single-lens reflex cameras.
The actual output capacity of 7 million units will grow up to 10.
Other companies have launched mirrorless models reaching a market share more competitive. They are are trying to move customers from compact cameras towards a more profitable upmarket.
This opens a new landscape for Canon and Nikon wich are the major representatives of high camera market, and this could push both to follow the same strategy.
When asked about mirrorless, Masaya said “We are considering the technical aspects”.
“We will launch an interesting product next year,” adding that it would be small, but not specifying whether it would be a mirrorless model.
