Canon set to hold an “EOS 5D” event in Japan on August 27 (to display the EOS 5D Mark IV?)

eos 5d mark iv

Canon Japan announced a series of “EOS 5D”-related events to be held in Japan on August 27. Is this to introduce the EOS 5D Mark IV?

While there is no explicit mention of new products, it seems to fit pretty well with a EOS 5D Mark IV announcement on August 25 or 25. If the EOS 5D Mark IV is in the picture above it could be the one on that’s on the very left (though you can not see a “Mark IV” moniker).

If I got the machine translated text right, there will be a first event with seminars and photo exhibitions with 13 photographers, and a nationwide (Japan) event, also with seminars and exhibitions, with 16 photographers.

The events seem to be all about the history of the EOS 5D series, from the beginning to what I guess will likely be the EOS 5D Mark IV.

We still do not have reliable information about the specifications of the EOS 5D Mark IV. 24MP or 28MP sensor resolution are both rumoured, WiFi and/or GPS should also be on board.

Click here to see all EOS 5D Mark IV rumors. Stay tuned…
