Our friends at Photography Blog are testing the Canon EOS 5DS without pause. A new gallery of 80 JPG and 42 raw images taken with a final production version of the EOS 5Ds and the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens was just posted. Candid street portraits taken in Covent Garden, London.

The Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R start official shipping tomorrow. However, it’s an open secret that some customers have already got theirs.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM vs. Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II focus and sound differences in Video Servo mode

Dustin Abbott posted a short video on YouTube that shows the differences in focus quality and sound between the new Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and the EF 50mm f/1.8 II, both lenses used on a camera in video servo mode. Well, big differences. Congrats Canon for having made another excellent and inexpensive lens.

LensRentals’ Roger Cicala posted a teaser (on Facebook) of the ongoing Canon EOS 5DS and EOS 5DS R testing they started. Read what they say:

Photography Blog posted another gallery of sample pictures shot with a Canon EOS 5DS. This time they used the Canon EF 70-200 f/4L IS lens. The pics were taken at a local bike race, at 8pm with overcast sky, having poor light conditions. High ISO settings were required.
