Not again! Mirrorless Canon 5D MarkII becomes mirrorless :)
Few weeks ago a crazy guy killed his Canon T2i by making it “mirrorless”. And now an even more crazy (and probably rich) guy transformed his canon 5d markII in a mirrorless camera! Take a look here: dchome.net

Canon is working on a new mirrorless system (Amateur Photographer)

“Canon is proceeding with the development of a mirror-less interchangeable lens camera to compete against models launched by Panasonic, Olympus and Samsung.”
Canon EOS Movie Plug In “E1″ For Final Cut Pro.
Cinema5d.com just noticed that a new Canon plugin is available for Final Cut Pro.
According to Canon: “the H.264 compression format requires that files be transcoded into a format better suited to editing, effects, and color grading; this would usually be Apple ProRes. The transcoding to ProRes can be a fairly time- and processor-heavy intermediary step that pays off later with superior speed once the post production process begins. That’s where EOS Movie Plugin-E1 comes in: It doesn’t eliminate the need for transcoding, but it includes several improvements in functionality and interface, making the experience of editing EOS HD Video footage with Final Cut Pro as fast and seamless as possible.”

Rumor: Canon videocamera with APS-C sensor
That’s good that I had german at school. According to Frank Glencairn (a german Cinematographer) “a little bird whispered him some details about the new Canon camcorder”
He says: “The prototype, which is currently being tested in Europe is still a long way away from the production stage. There are problems with moire (possibly because of the line-skipping). The chip itself is sealed, but the results look very similar to those of the 7D.
Canon is obviously aware of the problem and is therefore planning to test later this year, a different sensor.
According to a Canon employee Canon wants to archieve a “RED 2K quality for about half the price”. The new (4:2:2) codec from Canon is not yet implemented in the prototype.”
Similar rumors are floating around the web since months. That doesn’t mean that the camera prototype really exists…
