This is the Samyang XP 50mm f/1.2 EF, to be announced soon
Samyang (aka Rokinon, Walimex etc) is set to announce the new Samyang XP 50mm f/1.2 EF lens soon. Images of the lens leaked at Nokishita (except a few that were sent to us). No other information about the Samyang XP 50mm f/1.2 is available at that point. Given the “EF” in the moniker we can assume it will have electronic focus.

Sigma’s new 70-200mm f/2.8 ART and 70-200mm f/4 CONTEMPORARY lenses coming ahead of Photokina, not CP+
Weeks ago we were told Sigma may soon announce new 70-200mm f/2.8 ART and 70-200mm f/4 CONTEMPORARY lenses. We were expecting the announcement before CP+. But nope.
The same source has now told us, Sigma has delayed the release of these new lenses until September, 2018. This makes us think Sigma is set for an announcement ahead of Photokina (September 2018). So far we have no hints about price and specifications.

ePhotozine reviewed the new Canon TS-E 135mm f/4L MACRO, a specialised, tilt-shift lens. This is a Canon L lens, everything is top notch. Unfortunately, the price is too, $2,199.
ePhotozine’s conclusion:
The Canon range of tilt and shift lenses is unique and impressive, and without a doubt, if there is a commercial need for what they offer then they will be purchased for that purpose and the price will be acceptable. The fact that it is a macro lens as well as a tilt and shift lens is a very powerful combination.
The Canon TS-E 135mm f/4L Macro is a beautiful lens and has the potential to produce beautiful and unique results, but for an amateur purchase, we would need deep pockets. However, for some, it might be a possibility and it would be a very desirable lens to own. Read the review…
