Photographer and review Dustin Abbott posted a 15 minutes video where he tells his first impression with the new Canon EF 85mm f/1.4L IS, the hottest Canon lens of 2017 in my opinion (specifications, and price in your country).

Picture of the lens and sample pictures taken with the lens are here. The EF 85mm f/1.4L IS is getting one positive review after the other.

At the time of writing the EF 85mm f/1.4L IS is in stock and sells for $1,599 at Amazon US,  Adorama and the Canon Store. B&H Photo still has the EF 85mm f/1.4L IS on pre-order.

After the firmware update for the EOS 5Ds and 5Ds R, here are three more firmware updates. No, the EOS 6D Mark II is not getting the fix we were hoping for.

Canon EOS 6D Mark II firmware version 1.1.8 (download) incorporates the following fix:

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which standard exposure may not be obtained, or an irregular exposure may result, when Silent LV (Live View) shooting with the following TS-E lenses: TS-E 50mm f/2.8L MACRO, TS-E 90mm f/2.8L MACRO, or TS-E 135mm f/4L MACRO.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III firmware version 1.3.5 (download) incorporates the following fix:

1. Fixes a phenomenon in which standard exposure may not be obtained, or an irregular exposure may result, when Silent LV (Live View) shooting with the following TS-E lenses: TS-E 50mm f/2.8L MACRO, TS-E 90mm f/2.8L MACRO, or TS-E 135mm f/4L MACRO.

Canon EOS-1D X Mark II firmware version 1.1.4 (download) incorporates the following improvements and fix:

1. Support has been added for chromatic aberration correction, peripheral illumination correction, distortion correction, and Digital Lens Optimizer when using Digital Photo Professional to process RAW images captured with the following TS-E lenses: TS-E 17mm f/4L, TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II, TS-E 50mm f/2.8L MACRO, TS-E 90mm f/2.8L MACRO, or TS-E 135mm f/4L MACRO.
2. Fixes a phenomenon in which standard exposure may not be obtained, or an irregular exposure may result, when Silent LV (Live View) shooting with the following TS-E lenses: TS-E 50mm f/2.8L MACRO, TS-E 90mm f/2.8L MACRO, or TS-E 135mm f/4L MACRO.
3. Support for Exif 2.31 has been added.

Canon released a firmware update for the Canon EOS 5Ds R and EOS 5Ds (specs, and price in your country). This is firmware ver. 1.1.2.

Firmware Version 1.1.2 incorporates the following improvements and fix:

  1.
