Canon released a firmware update for the venerable Canon EOS-1D X Mark III. Canon EOS-1D…
Our friends at COSYSPEED started a new interesting project. Lens pouches made in Africa, and for a good cause.
Everyone owns camera lenses. And everyone knows they can scratch quickly or dirt can get in while you have them in your bag. They also quickly gather dust when stored on a shelf. The new COSYSPEED lens pouches offer reliable protection. They are well made, lined with soft microfibre on the inside and colored classic black or African style on the outside. They are available in three sizes to cover the most common lens sizes.
And here is the (cool) thing: When you buy a COSYSPEED lens pouches, you get a high quality product and actively do development work. You are not just sending money, you are giving someone work and the opportunity to help her or him self. And that’s a win win situation for everyone!
The first photo products “Made in Africa”
The COSYSPEED Lens Pouches are produced in a development project by our partner Burundikids in Burundi. In the mother-child home in Bujumbura, Burundi’s biggest city, homeless, mostly underage mothers with their children find accommodation, food, health care – and they can make an apprenticeship as a dressmaker. And here are the new COSYSPEED lens pouches made.
In a long-term COSYSPEED would like to set up a ä#-production in Burundi in order to produce the first photo accessories “Made in Africa”. Burundi is the poorest country in the world with a gross domestic product of $ 660 / capita. But this is not an “aid project”, we work on the principle of “service for consideration”. When you buy COSYSPEED lens pouches, you get a high quality product and actively do development work. You are not just sending money, you are giving someone work and the opportunity to help her or him self. And that’s a win win situation for everyone!
