Transfer images on-the-go with Canon’s new Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1
London, UK, 25 August 2016 – Canon today introduces the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1, a dedicated Wi-Fi adapter for Canon’s EOS 7D Mark II¹, EOS 5DS¹ and EOS 5DS R¹. The new accessory gives you the freedom to wirelessly transfer shots directly from compatible EOS DSLRs² to iOS and Android smart devices and computers whilst on-the-go. It also offers remote shooting, perfect for capturing unique angles, landscapes or wildlife.
Compact connectivity
Portable and lightweight, the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 is the size of an SD card and fits into the memory card slot of compatible dual card slot EOS DSLRs². Providing the ultimate convenience, photographers can review and display images on a tablet or monitor, upload to the web from smart devices, and save a copy whilst out on location.
Take control with remote shooting
With the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 you can also shoot remotely, directly from a smart device running Canon’s Camera Connect app, PC or Mac using EOS Utility software, from up to 10 meters away. It’s ideal for photographing wildlife up close, or wirelessly shooting in a home studio, thanks to remote real time view and camera control – allowing you to activate the shutter, adjust exposure and change the focus point.
Inclusion with EOS 7D Mark II
Following Canon’s ongoing commitment to enhance connectivity in its product range, from the end of October 2016, the Wi-Fi Adapter W-E1 will be included in the box with the Canon EOS 7D Mark II giving enthusiasts the ability to control the camera wirelessly and download images and mp4 movies on the move.
