(CW3) Is the Canon Powershot G1 X Mark III Canon’s next Large Sensor Compact Camera? (20MP, 25x zoom, WiFi, NFC, more specs)

The Canon Powershot G1 X

I got some specs (thanks) for a new Powershot camera, the Powershot G3 X (or G1 X Mark III). I can not yet confirm it is the anticipated large sensor Powershot. Given the high ISOs it may well be. There is no “G2 X”, and both the PowerShot G1 X and PowerShot G1 X Mark II had an 1.5″ sensor. In any case, this is one of the new Powershot cameras Canon will announce next week.
