Two more Canon firmware updates. After those for cameras, Canon today also released new firmware for the RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS and RF 100-500 f/4.5-7.1L IS lenses for the EOS R system.

This is what comes with the new Canon firmware updates:

RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM – Firmware Version 1.1.0 (download)

  1. Electronic Full-time Manual Focus
  2. Improves a phenomenon where the background is not blurred when performing slow panning with the IS (Image Stabilisation) mode set to Mode 2 or Mode 3.


RF 100-500 f/4.5-7.1L IS USM – Firmware Version 1.0.9 (download)

  1. Electronic Full-time Manual Focus
  2. Improves a phenomenon where the background is not blurred when performing slow panning with the IS (Image Stabilisation) mode set to Mode 2 or Mode 3.
