Next Large Sensor Canon Powershot Camera Coming for CES 2015?

That’s what Canon Rumors suggests in their latest post.

We’re told that the previously mentioned large sensor PowerShot camera to complete the lineup of higher end compact cameras will be announced at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

No pricing nor specs so far.

CW’s take: the rumor is plausible, if not plain logic. We know Canon is working on a third large sensor Powershot camera after the [shoplink 19768]Powersot G1 X Mark II[/shoplink] and the [shoplink 22665]Powershot G7 X[/shoplink]. There were a lot of signs pointing in this direction, not last the inadvertend leak on Canon Netherland’s site and an development announcement on Canon Hong Kong’s page. So, yes it’s coming and CES may be the right stage for the announcement.
