Canon EOS C300 Mark III (and other stuff) To Be Announced Ahead Of NAB 2019?

Canon cinema EOS C300 Mark III

Canon might announced two new Cinema EOS cameras ahead of NAB Show 2019.

One of these new Cinema camera will most likely be the replacement for the Canon EOS C300 Mark II (we reported back in November 2018), while the other camera is rumored to be a high frame camera.

It’s also suggested that the Canon EOS C300 Mark III will might have sensor upgrade option for 8K video. This will most likely be a paid upgrade, apparently to keep the initial price competitive (we reported). 4.4.4 codec and electronic image stabilisation will likely be on board.

Along with these cameras Canon might also announce a CN-E 100mm cinema prime lens

Skylum introduces AirMagic, AI-powered photo editing software for aerial photography

Utilizing Artificial Intelligence, AirMagic gives drone and aerial photographers an automated solution to improve their images.

BELLEVUE, WA – March 7, 2019 — Today, Skylum announced AirMagic, the world’s first fully automated AI-powered enhancer for Mac & PC, created for drone and aerial photography.

While drones let us shoot incredible images from previously unreachable places, the photos themselves often lack quality, making for a lot of manual post-processing work to fix issues like haze, low or extreme contrast, lack of sharpness, undersaturation and chromatic aberration. This tedious editing process requires time, special knowledge and expensive software.

With AirMagic, these problems are a thing of the past. AirMagic was created to automatically resolve issues inherent to aerial photography. It lets photographers process their images without major involvement — all you need to do is drop all your aerial photos into the app, and AirMagic takes care of the rest to make each photo look its best.

Canon Instant Cameras With Built-In Printer On The Way?

Top 10 Cameras canon rumors full frame mirrorless camera canon eos r pro eos r canon lens explorers of light

Nokishita spotted a list of Canon camera SKUs which point to instant cameras, and some might have a built-in printer.

Here’s the list:

  • 3879C001: IVY 2in1 Instant Camera (Gold)
  • 3879C002: IVY 2in1 Instant Camera (White)
  • 3879C003: IVY 2in1 Instant Camera (Blue)
  • 3879C004: IVY 2in1 Instant Camera (Red)
  • 3884C001: IVY instant camera (green)
  • 3884C002: IVY Instant Camera (Yellow)
  • 3884C003: IVY instant camera (blue)
  • 3884C004: IVY instant camera (red)

The interesting thing here is that Canon mobile printer series have the moniker IVY. This, and the “2in1” denomination, makes us think some of the cameras listed above have a high probability to be instant cameras with a built-in printer, like the Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10

The Yongnuo YN450 is a Mirrorless Android Camera with 4/3 Sensor and Canon EF Mount

yongnuo yn450

We know the brand Yongnuo for their inexpensive lenses and flashes. Here is something different and rather unusual.

The Yongnuo YN450 is a camera with a 4/3 sensor and Canon EF mount, and like a smartphone it’s powered by Android.

As Cinema5D sums it up:

The Yongnuo YN450 is a smart mirrorless camera with Android operating system and a 16MP micro four thirds image sensor. It features a Canon EF mount, a 5″ multi-touch 1080p display, as well as a 4G SIM card slot for instant content sharing.
Yongnuo decided to equip their camera with the Canon EF lens mount, which might have to do with Yongnuo’s lens portfolio, which is based on Canon EF mount (and Nikon F mount). However, that mount makes the whole camera-lens combination very bulky and actually prevents one from being able to use more compact micro four thirds lenses, which would be a better match for the sensor, in my opinion.

Who need such a camera, and does it make sense?
