Canon Cinema EOS R300 (name not confirmed)

  • Super 35mm 4K DGO sensor (same as the Cinema EOS C300 Mark III)
  • No IBIS
  • RF Mount
  • Internal ND (10 Stops)
  • CLog 2 & CLog 3
  • 4:2:2 10bit onto SD cards up to 4K120 and 2K180
  • No RAW capability internally at launch
  • BP-A batteries

Canon is rumored to announce a Cinema camera with RF mount in August 2020. These are the rumored specifications:

  • Same Super35 sensor as the Canon Cinema EOS C200
  • Internal ND filters (mechanical) up to 6 stops
  • 2x Mini XLR inputs
  • Full-size HDMI
  • 4K 4:2:2 10bit in ALL-I and IPB up to 120p
  • 1x CFexpress Type B Slot
  • 2x SD UHS-II slots
  • External RAW recording options up to 4K 120P
  • 2x LP-E6NH batteries
  • Camera size smaller than the EOS-1D X Mark III
  • Price: $4499 USD

Along with this RF mount Cinema camera, Canon might also release these adapters:

  • EF to RF focal length reducer (speed booster)

Canon Might Release A Speedbooster And New Adapters For RF Mount

Canon might soon announce new adapters for the RF mount, i.e. the mount of the company’s EOS R full frame mirrorless camera system. And a Speedbooster might also get announced.

Rumor has it that Canon might release some interesting adapters for the RF mount, all of them likely within 2020.

That Canon was working on their own speed booster was in the air. A pertinent patent was spotted time ago. For those who want to learn what a Speedbooster is, have a look here.

A Canon announcement in August or September 2020 is already rumored. The adapters might get announced along with new Canon EOS M cameras and a new EOS R camera.
