    it´s a mirrorless why only 1/4000s?

ok canon has no good fast native lenses for the M system. but what if i want to use my EF lenses?
1/4000s is often not enough on bright days. especially with my 85mm f1.2.

    • Michał Sz

Shutter speed limit depends on the shutter itself, so lack of mirror makes no difference.

1/8000 is useful indeed, especially with the 85mm f/1.2. Yet on bright days 1 stop more is sometimes not enough. I can go to 1/8000 but bought a 2 stops ND filter for that very lens and it does just fine. So, with a limit at 1/4000, I guess a 3 stop ND filter would be more suited.

Sooo now it’s just a matter of .. when’s the announcement and when are they shipping?!

729 in the UK so probably around 699 in the US, probably a good starting price. I’m sure some will dive off the cliff with it regardless.

    • CW Steve

I hope it really is $699 in the US. May be $799.

      • Rick

yeah i just checked the prices with a uk price from canon, seems 799 or even 849 is more likely.

    • pbl

On paper, it looks quite tempting. And with a weight just a little above the 100D, it looks even better.

Could anyone tell me how m6 differs from m5?..
I seem to be missing something.

    • Andrei

      The EVF
