Canon might soon announce new Cinema zoom lenses: 20-50mm and 45-135mm.
Asobinet reports a rumor that seems to have originated on Japanese 5channel site. Little is know so far about these lenses, just that they will be for the Cinema EOS system and not for the RF mount.

Will Canon RF lenses soon be more expensive? Some hints have surfaced that this might indeed be the case, at least in Japan.
That’s the rumor reported by asobinet.com. Prices might increased “several thousand yen to tens of thousands of yen” (10,000 Yen are approximately $81) from April 7, 2022. If this price increase is going to happen in Japan, it will likely happen on other markets too.

Canon might announce two new and fast Cinema zoom lenses in April 2022.
Latest rumor has it that Canon might have two Cinema zooms in the pipeline. Both lenses are said to feature a T stop of 2.0. One lens might start between 14mm and 20mm and go up between 40mm and 60mm. The other lens might start between 30mm ad 45mm and go up to 80mm-90mm.
Both lenses are designed for a Super 35mm imaging sensor but can be used with a converter.
The lenses could replace the CN 15.5-47mm and CN 30-105mm, and will be available for the EF and PL mounts.

The source mentions also “new modules for both the Cinema EOS C300 Mark III and Cinema EOS C500 Mark II”, although I have not a clear idea about what those “modules” are. Maybe we will learn more before NAB 2022.
