This is probably the Canon rumor with the longest history of all (first mention dates back at least to 2008). And now it surfaces again. The rumor is always the same: someone told someone that the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II will soon be announced.
A few more rumors about this lens and Canon will probably make it out of mercy ;-)
More confirmation surfaced suggesting we will soon see the EF 11-24mm f/4L. Here at CW we got a mention of a soon-to-come announcement a week ago, and there is a patent for a 11-24mm f/4 that was spotted in January 2014. The latest mention of this lens, which I am pretty sure will be announced in the near future, suggests it will have a retail price of $3,000. Hefty.

Canon Asia posted a four part interview with the developers of Canon’s latest APS-C flagship, the [shoplink 22664]EOS 7D Mark II[/shoplink]. Also, don’t miss the short clip above, it shows the EOS 7D Mark II in various dissection animations.
Q: Does the body have a dust- and moisture-resistant structure?
A: Yes, the body is designed with considerations given to its dust- and moisture-resistance. In response to feedback on the design of the EOS 7D, dust- and moisture-resistance is about four times stronger on the EOS 7D Mark II, with enhancements made to many parts of the body, including the strap mount and battery compartment cover.
In Germany Wex Photographie is accepting pre-orders for the EOS 7D Mark II (€1,699). The new EOS 7D Mark II can be pre-ordered also in the USA. Shipment is expected for November 2014 and orders will ship on a first come first served basis:
