After a new product image, here are the first leaked specifications of the upcoming Canon RF 14-35mm f/4L IS lens.

We expect the Canon RF 14-35mm f/4L IS to get announced tomorrow along with the Canon EOS R3. Courtesy of Nokishita, here is a first set of specifications:

  • 16 lens elements in 12 groups
  • minimum shooting distance of 0.2 m (full zoom range)
  • maximum magnification of 0.15 times at 14 mm, 0.38 times at 35 mm
  • 9 aperture blades (circular aperture)
  • filter diameter 77 mm
  • size 84.1 x 99.8 mm
  • weight 540 g

Here is a new Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS review. This lens is getting very popular, both among users and reviewers. Another great lens by Canon, and this one is also affordable. It’s not a Canon boutique lenses but it has a very good performance.

New Inexpensive Canon EOS R Models Coming After The EOS R3?

A new rumor surfaced, it’s about RF mount cameras, new inexpensive models. And again the EOS R with APS-C.

A new low rated rumor suggests Canon will focus on entry-level EOS R models after the EOS R3 begins shipping, and if there are no supply chain issues (these are now always mentioned). A replacement for the EOS RP is said to be in the pipeline, this would be the new lowest priced EOS R model in the lineup.

Again, an EOS R with APS-C imaging sensor is rumored too. We still don’t fully buy it but for sure it makes for some good discussions. The only new bit this time is that it might not be an EOS 7D Mark II replacement. So far this has always been the dominant suggestion. Don’t get us wrong about the skepticism. t would be a nice addition to the lineup. We just don’t see it happen.

The less expensive of Canon’s full frame mirrorless cameras gets little attention nowadays. Here is a Canon EOS RP review, and why it is still a valuable and capable camera.

Canon Might Announce 2 Tilt-shift Lenses (with AF) Along With A High Res EOS R Model

New rumor has it that Canon is set to announce two tilt-shift lenses with auto-focus for the RF mount and a high resolution EOS R model.

Canon Rumors reports that Canon will announce two tilt-shift lenses for the RF mount. These would be the first tilt-shift lenses with autofocus: Canon TS-R 14mm f/4L and Canon TS-R 24mm f/3.5L. No other specifications about these lenses nor do we have a clear announcement schedule. However, we think it is safe to assume Canon will indeed release these lenses, maybe towards the end of 2021 or beginning of 2022.

As for the high resolution EOS R we already know that it is coming. Indeed, such a camera is rumored since a while. Latest rumor suggests a sensor resolution of more than 100MP, previous rumors suggested a resolution between 80MP and 90MP. It’s not clear if we can expect the high resolution EOS R in 2021.
