Another suggestion a Canon full frame mirrorless camera may be announced ahead of Photokina 2018

Canon Rumors Canon Full Frame Mirrorless

We got a bunch of mails suggesting that the announcement of the long rumored Canon full frame mirrorless camera may happen ahead of Photokina 2018, i.e. before September 2018.

An announcement around September 2018 has always been what was suggested to us, though sometimes we got some doubts. Shall we now take September 2018 again as a candidate announcement date? I do not know at the time being.

Sincerely, I really hope Canon will announce this thing asap so it’s over. Since I started this site, this is the most stressful rumor I had to deal with. Not only we get a lot of unreliable mails (i.e. absolute bs) but it’s also getting harder to discern the crap from what may indeed have some value. We are more on the conservative side, I guess, so most of the things that are suggested to us are not being published immediately, if ever.

If, and only if, an announcement in September 2018 is to expect, then there will be first serious leaks no later than end of July 2018 or beginning of August 2018. But then, there will be another Photokina in May 2019. So it’s either for the former or for the latter.

That Canon will still not have been announced their full frame mirrorless camera by Photokina 2019 (May 2019) is unrealistic. It will happen within a year at most. Maybe this is the only thing we can be somewhat sure about.
