Sigma announced the price of its Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM lens: $799 (click here to pre-order at B&H). The lens will start shipping July 31.

The Sigma 18-35mm caused a lot of hype when it was announced. For a good reason: it is the first zoom lens for APS-C DSLR that offers a constant f/1.8.
