Canon Eos M50 Mark Ii

Canon might announce up to two new EOS M cameras within 2020, that’s what’s rumored.

The rumored upcoming Canon EOS M cameras are said to be the replacement for the highly popular EOS M50 and a possible new EOS M flagship, named the EOS M7. A partial list of specifications for one of these cameras could have leaked over the web. Here they are:

  • 32mp
  • IBIS
  • DPAF II
  • New DIGIC Processor (perhaps a lesser version of DIGIC X?)
  • EVF
  • Dual SD Cards
  • 12fps
  • Full sensor width 4K up to 60p
  • 1080p at 120p
  • CLog

There is no rumored announcement date so far but if it is true that these new EOS M cameras are coming in 2020, then there isn’t that much time left to speculate about.

Another Mention Of IBIS Coming To The Canon EOS M Lineup

Canon Eos M50 Mark Ii

A new rumor surfaced confirming a precedent rumor: In Body Image Stabilisation (IBIS) might come to the Canon EOS M lineup.

IBIS on an upcoming EOS M camera was rumored previously but it’s good to hear it again, even if it is becoming a bit redundant. IBIS is rumored to come to the PowerShot lineup too.

We think it is very likely that Canon will feature IBIS on future EOS M cameras. The upcoming EOS M50 Mark II and EOS M5 Mark II are for sure good candidates for IBIS on the EOS M lineup. Both cameras might get announced in Fall 2020.

The Canon EOS M50 Mark II Might Get Announced In 2020

Canon Eos M50 Mark Ii

Here is some murmurings about the replacement for the highly popular EOS M50, the Canon EOS M50 Mark II.

The Canon EOS M50 Mark II could be announced before Christmas 2020. The weird thing: according to the source the EOS M50 replacement might first ship in Japan, and only in 2021 in the rest of the world.

The Canon EOS M50 is the company’s top selling mirrorless camera and it is to expect that Canon will follow up with a worthy replacement. The EOS M50 Mark II won’t be Canon’s APS-C mirrorless flagship but I think it’s safe to assume that Canon will announce a feature-rich successor, and it will be another best seller.

Stay tuned.

Canon Rumor: A High End EOS M Model Coming 2020?

Canon Eos M50 Mark Ii

Here is a new Canon rumor. We leaked in February 2020 that Canon was set to announce two new EOS M camera in 2020.

This got confirmed a few weeks ago. Our source told us that these cameras would be the EOS M50 replacement and likely the EOS M5 Mark II.

A new rumor follows up to these rumors, suggesting that beside the EOS M50 Mark II (or M60) Canon will announce a “flagship” EOS M body. That is a EOS M camera of “greater durability and performance than you’d expect from an M5 follow-up“. So, no EOS M5 Mark II?

Be aware that the COVID-19 outbreak might delay Canon plans, and all this might happen in 2021.

Canon Rumor: IBIS On Canon EOS M Cameras Mentioned Again

Canon Eos M6 Mark Ii Firmware Canon Rumor

Here is a new Canon rumor, suggesting again that Canon might feature IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization) on the EOS M lineup.

This refers two the rumored EOS M cameras, the replacement for the EOS M50 (EOS M60 or EOS M50 II) and the EOS M5 Mark II. Both of these cameras were also already rumored before. However, the mew rumor suggests that at least one of the two upcoming EOS M cameras will have IBIS. We think this is possible.

We also know that IBIS will be featured on the EOS R5 and EOS R6.

Upcoming Canon announcements:

We expect Canon to announce a new Cinema camera on April 20, 2020, during a livestreamed conference, most likely the Canon Cinema EOS C300 Mark III. The EOS R5 will not be announced on April 20, 2020, we expect the EOS R5 announcement before Summer 2020.

Canon EOS M Rumor: Two New Cameras And Some Primes To Be Released In 2020

Canon Eos M Rumor

A Canon EOS M rumor surfaced that’s very similar to a rumor we posted in February 2020.

It’s suggested that Canon might release two new EOS M bodies in 2020. One of these could likely be the Canon EOS M60 (the replacement for the EOS M50, might also be named EOS M50 Mark II). The other one could be the Canon EOS M5 Mark II. We reported back in February that Canon might announce the M5 II in October 2020 and the EOS M60 at the beginning of 2021.

The new Canon EOS M rumor mentions also the possibility that Canon might release two prime lenses for the EOS M system. One of these could be the EF-M 52mm f/2 STM we reported in February 2020. Our rumor mentioned a EF-M 18-45mm f/2-4 IS STM, which is not mentioned in the new rumor.
