Shoten announced two new lenses, the Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95, for Canon RF, Sony E and Nikon Z mounts, and the 7Artisans 60mm f/2.8 Macro for Canon EF-M, Sony E, Fujifilm X and Micro Four Thirds mounts. Machine translated press releases are below.

7Artisans 60mm F2.8 Macro is a “60mm macro lens” designed for “APS – C size” mirrorless camera that can shoot from closeup to infinity.
It can be captured without disturbing from remote places such as insects and small animals, so it is suitable for shooting subjects that are difficult to close close-up.
The focus part is sharp, blurred is beautiful, and the whole is depicted richly in gradation.
Ultra close-up shooting up to 5 times magnification is possible by installing an optional extension tube.

FroKnowsPhoto (aka Jared Polin) compared the dynamic range of the Canon EOS RP, EOS R and EOS 6D Mark II.

I never cared much about dynamic range but it seems t’s a hot topic for a lot of people out there. The raw files used by Jared Polin can be downloaded here.

In a recent interview with Canon execs, the company confirmed that the EOS RP has the same sensor as the EOS 6D Mark II, with the exception of different microlenses.

DPReview reviewed the Canon EF-M 32mm F/1.4, Canon’s latest lens for the EOS M system.

The Canon EF-M 32mm F/1.4 seems to be cute little performer, not an L lens but for sure one of Canon’s better user oriented lenses. From the conclusion:

Focusing performance is good and optical performance is solid across the aperture range. This kind of lens begs to be shot at wide apertures, and it’s good to find that sharpness is excellent, even at F1.4. Coma is also extremely well-controlled, making this lens useful for wide-aperture cityscapes and probably also astrophotography, as well as more everyday subjects like portraiture. Occasional LoCA might be a concern depending on what you shoot, but it’s well-controlled compared to results from most competitive lenses.

[…] the EF-M 32mm F/1.4 STM […] takes up little space, and is clearly quite capable of delivering great results across many different situations. If Canon builds out the EF-M range with additional prime options of a similar standard, we may be looking at a very different system before long. Read the review…
