Canon Hong Kong posted a 12sec teaser video for tomorrow’s announcement.
On September 5th, 2018, Canon will announce a lot of new gear, most notably their first full frame mirrorless system, the Canon EOS R, which already has leaked with all the bells and whistles. More information about the upcoming Canon gear can be read here and here and here.
I can’t say how accurate this comparison is but I think it’s fair to assume that it gives at least an idea about how these mounts compare.

Nokishita reports that Canon will announce a new flash, the Canon Speedlite EL-100.
Size of the Canon Speedlite EL-100 64.6 x 91.7 x 71 mm, and the weight is 190g. This is a very small and light SpeedLite. Maybe for Canon’s new EOS R system? Size and weight make the Speedlite EL-100 similar to the Speedlite 270EX II. The name is bit weird for a Canon Speedlite.

Nokishita posted some more details about the four upcoming lenses for the Canon EOS R. Launching their new EOS R system with such an amazing lens offering from the beginning is for sure a winning move by Canon.
The revolutionary Canon RF 28-70mm F/2L alone makes a difference. Nikon and Sony, you’re both done. This is Canon determined to dominate the mirrorless market.

Have you noticed the small control “thing” just right of the EVF of the Canon EOS R in the image above?
We think the small “thing” immediately on the right of the EVF (Electronic View Finder) might be a touchbar selection option as we know it from Apple’s recent MacBook Pro. A touch sensitive selection button with back and forward list options. I guess what you’re about to select will be displayed in the EVF. This feature alone might make a huge difference, and differentiate the Canon EOS R from competitors.
What do you think, is this “small control thing” on the right of the Canon EOS R EVF what we think it is?
