Here is a Canon EOS R5 and EOS R6 review that examines how well both cameras do for video.

Dan Watson did a rather extensive comparison on the EOS R6 vs EOS R5 for video work with a lot of real world shooting, side by side tests in every resolution/frame rate, low light, and of course, he had to look at overheating issue as well. A good review and we recommend it. Don’t underestimate the EOS R6!

A Canon EOS R5 firmware update might get announced soon, a new rumor suggests.

The Canon EOS R5 firmware update could bring…:

  • Addition of Cinema RAW light option to 8K recording
  • Addition of CLog 3
  • Increased record time limits (how much is the question)
  • Various bug fixes

There might be more features than those listed above. No date so far but we guess it’s safe to assume it will be released soon.

This Guy Tore Down The Canon EOS R5 And Made Some Modifications

Someone wanted to see how the Canon EOS R5 looks on the inside and so he tore it down.

A Chinese guy (an engineer?) tore down the Canon EOS R5. He applied thermal paste on the CPU in order to dissipate more heath. It’s not clear from the video if this solution works but it is cool to see how the R5 looks inside.
