Sony A7 III

Here is another mirrorless comparison, Sony a7 III vs Canon EOS R vs Nikon Z6, by DPReview TV.

Chris and Jordan want to see if the significant firmware updates delivered by Nikon and Canon have changed their opinion on the EOS R and Nikon Z6, and how they stand up against what they consider being the gold standard, the Sony a7 III.

We covered the Nikon Z6 and the Sony a7 III many times.

Sony Is The Alpha Dog In The Mirrorless Pack, According to February Market Figures

Mirrorless

Some sales figures about the mirrorless market in Japan in February 2020 (image on top).

BCN Retail published market shares for mirrorless cameras in Japan for February 2020, and they show that Sony is the undisputed leader when it comes to sales figures. Although Canon is present in the top ten withe the EOS M50 (Kiss M in Japan) and the EOS M100, it’s a clear Sony dominance with the a6400 ranked third and close to the EOS M50.

Which One Is The Best Entry-Level Mirrorless Camera? (Canon EOS M50 vs Fuji X-T200 vs Sony a6100)

Best Entry-level Mirrorless Camera

The best entry-level mirrorless camera. Hot question, isn’t it?

DPReview‘s Chris and Jordan compare the Fujifilm X-T200, the Sony a6100 and the Canon EOS M50. And the question is: which one is right for you? While we are (obviously) rooting for the EOS M50, the Fujifilm X-T200 might…well…be interesting too.

Canon EOS-1D X Mark III And Sony a9 II Have Same Dynamic Range

Canon EOS 1D X Mark III Rumor Canon Cameras Big Game

Some good news about the new Canon EOS-1D X Mark III. Will this stop the Canon-smashing when it comes to dynamic range? Probably not. But then, dynamic range is a measure that already has little importance in real life, so I guess at the end of the day it doesn’t matter.

Photons to Photos allows you to compare the dynamic range of cameras. Below you see graph comparing the Canon EOS-1D X Mark III with the Sony a9 II. Difference is so little that you can say they have the same DR. Moreover, the EOS-1D X Mark III seems to do better up to approx. ISO 600, the Sony does slightly better at very high ISO.

Here Are The Five Best Mirrorless Of 2019, And What Distinguish Them From The Pack

Canon Eos Rp Best Mirrorless

Undecided which mirrorless camera is the right one for you? Not sure to go Canon despite visiting this Canon aficionados site? We may have the advice you need.

The guys at BorrowLenses discuss what they think are the five best mirrorless cameras of 2019, and what makes them stand out of the pack.

Since fall of 2018, the mirrorless world has exploded with new releases from Sony, Nikon, Canon and others. In this video, we take a close look at what the big 3 have had to offer in the last year or so. Sony, the leader of the mirrorless pack, has given us the a6100, a6400 and a6600 crop-cameras, and for full frame, the a7R IV and a9 II. Nikon made their entry into the mirrorless market in 2018 with the Z 7 and Z 6, and this year introduced a crop mirrorless body, the Z 50. Canon followed shortly after Nikon in 2018 with the EOS R, a midrange mirrorless camera and followed that up with the EOS RP, a mirrorless offering focused squarely at the entry level market.

So, it’s a Sony/Nikon/Canon thing. Enjoy the video.
