Original post
A more detailed specification list for the upcoming Canon EOS 5D Mark IV leaked at Nokishita Camera.
Although the text is machine translated from Japanese, I think it is getting clearer what Dual Pixel RAW means and is for (the text in red above). My interpretation of what leaked so far is that Dual Pixel RAW is a technology that will allow for some focus adjustment in post-processing. This is something we know from light-field cameras like the Lytro.
I think the text below leaves no doubt. For instance “normal image and the parallax information” makes me think there is more than one image that’s taken on more than one focus plane. And “by using the depth information, fine adjustment enables the position of the maximum sharpness” seems to point to the possibility to shift the focus in post-processing, as does “Bokeh Shift“. As far as I understand, the “focus post-processing” will be available in a new version of Canon’s Digital Photo Professional software.
Well. Canon is going to set another technological milestone.
Let me know what you think about Dual Pixel RAW, am I right with my interpretation?
The EOS 5D Mark IV will start shipping in the mid of September 2016. Launch price should be €3,799 in Europe and $3,299 in the USA. Please note that I am not 100% sure about the US price, could also be $3,499. Maybe $3,499 is more likely.
No price hint We know the price for the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM ($1,099) and EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM ($2,199) lenses. The EF 24-105mm will most likely start to ship with the EOS 5D Mark IV (it’s a new kit option), while the EF 16-35mm may be seen a bit later, probably in October.
Canon is set to make a big announcement on August 25, 2016. The following gear (and new EOS 7D Mark II kits) will be announced to the world:
Update: I downgrade the US price rumor to CW3, could be $3,499.
New bits about the upcoming Canon EOS 5D Mark IV.
I’ve been told (thanks) that the EOS 5D Mark IV will start shipping in the mid of September 2016. Launch price should be €3,799 in Europe and $3,299 in the USA. Please note that I am not 100% sure about the US price, could also be $3,499. Maybe $3,499 is more likely.

Next leak after the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV of yesterday. More of the gear we expect Canon to announce on August 25/26 leaked at Digicame-Info, with images and specifications of the upcoming Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II lens.
Weight 795g
Total length 118mm
Maximum diameter of 83.5mm
Filter Size 77mm
The new EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II is 11mm longer than the [shoplink 230]Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS[/shoplink], and it weights 125g more. Filter size also did not change. The new Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II looks pretty much like the lens it replaces.
We expect the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II to be announced on August 25/26 along with other gear. Here’s the list:

Update #2: Thanks to our reader Bob who made some research. Dual Pixel RAW files seems to point to a technique for increasing the dynamic range during RAW processing.
Update: I am still trying to figure out what “dual pixel RAW files” are. May this point to Dual ISO, something we have seen on EOS 5D Mark IIIs with Magic Lantern?
As you can see, some of the stuff we anticipated (like 4K, Dual Pixel AF, WiFi etc) leaked today at Digicame-Info. And it turned out the EOS 5D Mark IV is going to have 30MP, not 28MP as we were told nor 24MP as was suggested for long time by other rumor sites. Body size seems to be a bit smaller. The EOS 5D Mark IV has everything people was asking for. The EOS 5D MArk IV will most likely have a price between $3,299 and $3,499, and will be announced August 25/26.
