Canon released a new firmware update for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II.
Canon EOS R6 Mark II firmware 1.1.1 includes the following fixes.
A new Canon patent, and as almost all Canon patents of the last two or three years it is for RF mount lenses.
Canon patent 2023005851 (Japan, published 1/18/2023) discusses optical formulas for three wide angle lenses for the RF mount:
The 11-22mm in the list above could well be the already rumored 11-22mm lens. From the patent literature:
An object of the present invention is to realize a negative lead zoom lens that is compact and has a wide angle of view and yet has high optical performance in a wide zoom range.

It seems Canon might soon announce a super telephoto lens for the RF mount, i.e. for the EOS R camera system.
Rumor has it that Canon might be set to announce a new super telephoto lens for the EOS R mirrorless system- But which one it might be no one knows.
Speculation suggest Canon might release RF mount versions of the popular EF 200-400mm f/4L IS 1.4x and the EF 500mm f/4L IS USM II lenses. Both are professional lenses with professional price tags.

Neat video about how to do wildlife photography with the Canon EOS R6 and the Canon EF 500mm f/4 (through adapter).
Paul Miguel Photography posted a 12 minutes video about how he uses the Canon EOS R6 and the Canon EF 500mm f/4 for wildlife photography. Rather interesting because he combines a relatively new camera with a relatively old lens, which was also built for another mount type (albeit still a Canon mount). He says:
Wildlife Photography with the Canon R6 and Canon EF 500mm f/5 […] lens. I’m testing out the Eye Autofocus (Animal Eye) for this combo on beautiful Red Squirrels in Yorkshire. How well does my old Canon EF lens work with the Canon R6.. and does the Eye Autofocus Tracking Mode really work?
